Wow Vault Launches [Archive]

Somehow with the excitement of family in town I missed this. Wow Vault (http://wowvault.ign.com/) launched last Thursday. They've got a brand new look for Vault. What do you think?

It's also very good news, because it means that Mythica Vault should be coming real soon. :)

I love how all of the vaults end up looking...the DAOC, FFXI, AC, WoW, they all look great. Really easy navigation, great forums. IGN is a great thing.

Browsing through the vault, I noticed the new screnies. Ya know, I am not sure I am totally down with the way some of the characters look. I don't mind the cartoon touch, and the landscape looks great, but some of the characters look kinda blocky and pointy. Maybe it is just me, I'll still play the game, but I like a little smoother body look.

IGN is a great thing.;) Unless you want to search their Vault Network forums (http://vnboards.ign.com)... then you gotta cough up cash for their IGN Insider subscription. I understood them making people pay for access to "better" content (larger demo videos, more screenshots, in-depth articles), but the paying for a forum search angle I never got. Thankfully, even though AC2HQ is now the official vault AC2 site, they still use their own separate message board system and it does allow for free searches of old posts.

Leave it to me to run off on a tangent... and a grumpy one at that.

Okay, Elvis' response made me decide to ask peoples opinions on pay sites. My Gamespot Complete recently ran out. They pissed me off by closing a thread on Mythica for no reason, so I decided not to renew.

I have authorization from the wifey for one paysite, and I don't want it to go to waste. What do you think is the best bang for the buck?

Jonny, do u really need a paysite? there are usually plenty of fantastic free sites, and if one makes u pay to have that "larger movie and eextra screenies" then its easy enough to go elswhere to find em
