OOC: Roleplay roll call

Right, college is over for the year so I'm going to be getting a bit of life back into this here roleplay board. I've got a proper, GM-ed, Mythica-inspired, playscape-simulating roleplay planned and I want to get an idea how many people are interested. Correction, I want to get an idea how many people are prepared to put a bit of effort into this to make it work. That's the thing about roleplaying, it needs teamwork.

The plot revolves around a horde of corrupted humans attacking a mighty human fortress. You have heard about this great battle and gone to lend your aid. However it is up to you who you choose to help. There will be some basic rules as to where you can and can't post as this will be run over several different threads.

I was thinking of playing, but everyone looked so heroic and glorious, with such wonderful equipment filled with powerful magic from the strongest of gods... Not a flaw, not a problem, just.. perfect heroes from start. I think a grumpy dwarf with his trusted old axe (changed blade 6 times, changed handle 14 times. but the idea of the axe is old) would be like a fifth wheel in there. Even Tor himself will have a problem looking Godlike beside such grand Heroes :)

We are assuming that everyone is a fairly experienced Mythica character, that's kinda the point. It's not like everyone is trying to be uber, we're just playing characters appropriate to the setting.

Just make a character that would appear in Mythica. Should've made this clear, but JonnyG's character is actually an NPC. He's helping me run it. Any choosing of sides will happen in game once you know the whole situation.

Besides I like the term WENCH. If I were his wife, it wouldn't have the same ring to it ;)

I'd love to play! Is this going to be along the lines of a "tag you're next" story telling or something more along the lines of pen and paper via Internet.

Glad there's a bit more interest, I should be able to get this started soon. Being forum-based, it's going to tend towards longer, storytelling posts, but unlike most forum roleplay it's not totally freeform. It's going to be GMd by me with some help from JonnyG and is actually going to be split over several different related threads. Characters are standard Mythica Immortals. If you go over to the character thread, you'll see some great example of character bios. Read my post at the top and then start thinking up that character.
