Lost religion

I play EQ. Actually, I used to play EQ. But since I've heard of Mythica I can't bring myself to log on. In fact, I was looking forward to EQ2 and now I could care less. I won't even buy it.

A while back, I posted on board about things I'd like to see in EQ2. My primary wish was private zones (i.e. Private Realms). Little did I know Mythica was already working on them. The funny thing about the post was that some pontificating blowhard (you know the type, every board has them ... except this one so far) wrote back explaining why such a concept would never work. As I read his post it dawned on me why I've become estranged from EQ.

Heh heh...oh yeah, I know the type well. I happen to like driving games, and that genre is replete with simulation snobs. You could put these guys in a real car and they'd tell you how unrealistic the physics are :rolleyes:

I happen to like driving games as well. To me both Arcade and Sim types are great. I've been playing both Burnout 2 and MC2 on the X Box and loving it.

I feel your pain. So far these boards have kept a positive tone. Hopefully, that will be an example for others who join.

That doesn't mean people can't have different opinions. There's nothing wrong with disagreement. I just don't like it when people are condescending and close minded. You can always disagree with someone without disrespecting them.

Pardon the soapbox speech. I guess I'm the pontificating blowhard now. :)
