Long ago there was a project to build a shuttle simulator at a local community center... that project involved 2 computers and 4 monitors, with 2 PCI cards each, and special software that had to be written to support the system. Unfortunately I left the center before it was finished :(
---
I *think* the many computers in that picture control the displays, but I'm wondering how he got Flight Simulator (I think that's what it's running) to synchronize on all those computers

There has to be some lag between monitors.

Wow! I feel so computer-feeble. All I have is one machine and a cable modem. :'(
I should have gone into software/IT instead of mechanical engineering.

Oops I didn't even list the stuff that was in the pics:
Left Rack (home theater/main stereo)
Lexicon 512 THX Amp
Lexicon DC-2 Pre Amp
Panamax 1500 line conditioner
Nakamichi Dragon Cassette
Panasonic XP30 DVD
Rotel Tuner
Marantz SVHS
XBox
Escient Tunebase 100 (cd controller controls the 3 cd changers)
Sony 400 CD changer
Sony 300 CD changer
Sony 200 CD changer
Sony PS2
Right Rack (whole home audio)
4 Landmark 8 channel amps (PLB-AMP8)
Panamax 1500 line conditioner
Landmark PLB-AS16 input controller (16 2 channel inputs)
Landmark PLB-HUB (handles comm between devices)
Landmark PLB-CF10 (controls the stereo components)
eMachines P3 800
The whole home audio basically allows me to select any audio source from a control panel I have in each room. Each room has a pair of audio speakers. So if I want to listen to a CD in the study, I use its pad to choose the Escient controller and start a CD. I have 12 audio zones setup, with some area's using the same zone. Like the garage, front balconey, and back yard all get the same source.

And all I wanted was an Alienware in blue or green and I still haven't gotten it. :(
Nice setup! This was an easy task to setup. All he had to do was load the same viewpoint on all those comps, all running the simulator and then change the camera angles for each monitor/game instance so that it gave the appearance of being "IMAX" fashion. In actuality, he/she probably only had one that they actually played on. I'm thinking that it wouldn't be all that hard to jury rig/design a joystick and/or keyboard with multiple output connections to go to each comp and actually fly the thing on all the simlulators simultaneously. Being an ET, this would be child's play for me, but still a wiring nightmare...heh
