Here's a quick introduction for everyone as my first post here at HQ :)
Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm hoping to spend a lot of time here in the HQ forums answering questions and getting into cool discussions about Mythica and gaming in general.
For anyone interested in who I am:
My Dev Bio (http://mythica.com/BehindScenes/TeamProfiles/ProfileJManners.htm)
Anyways I'm super-excited to see all of the discussions here, and I'll be popping up as frequently as possible to throw in my 2 cents worth :)

Glad to see you around. We've thrown tons of stuff on the boards, good luck sifting through it.
I'd duck if I were you, newbies have been known to get thwacked with chairs and even a longboat once.

Welcome, nice to see you around. :)
With such a cool name as Mythica God, you were already noticed before....http://www.mythicahq.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=208
/gives you a mead to hurry up and drink so the thwacking won't hurt, at least for a while anyway. ;)
Btw, just how did you come up with the name "Mr Blonde"?

Thank you, thank you :)
Mr Blonde comes from the film Reservoir Dogs ... all of the main characters are given color names (Mr White, Mr Pink, and so on) and once upon a time my hair was a color of blonde that can only be accomplished through tons of chlorine and sunlight.
Nowadays it's a color that can only be accomplished with some very sharp clippers and some shiny wax :p

Hello and welcome. I have to bow in honor to a creative designer with a love for German board games (I just bought die kinder von Catan at Origins for my 2 youngsters :) ).
We already have a diverse group here, from those of us (like myself) who have never played a MMORPG to serious veterans, but we are holding fast to the common belief that Mythica has the chance to be something quite special.
I know what it is like to be the lead on a creative undertaking such as this (albeit not quite of this magnitude), and I can only imagine how hectic life must be for you folks, so thank you for taking the time to drop by. (Yes I know it is part of the job, just as it was for me, but I'm guessing you are frequently pulled in a myriad of directions, and I'm sure I speak for the assembly when I say we are greatful for any time you, Chris, et al. can spend in our midst.)
Thanks again,
Jotun
Hail and well met!

Glad to see you around! We'll be getting closer together as beta nears. We'll be here helping you lose what little hair you have left...heh

Homemade honey mead! Yum.
I just had my first taste of mead last year. Kinda strange after talking about it all these years in paper games, but there you go.
There is a small medieval fair/restaurant just down the road from my house. They serve only authentic medieval food from recipes they have found in writings from that time, and use only the proper ingredients.
It was great! Freshly baked bread for plates, goblets of mead, wow. Probably food only seen on a noble’s table, but very cool. Even the guy who kept coming over to sing ballads to us on various medieval instruments :)

Sounds fun, do you have the name of the restaurant? Next time I'm out that way, I'll try to talk my wife into it.

The recipe I have *is* from the "old country". I do a sort of "retreat" every few years to teach "Relaxation, Visualization and Relaxation" up in Canada at a secluded place to pagans from around the world. It was there that I met a person from Ireland who was selling this mead. After my first bottle, I was hooked. I'd never tasted anything like it! *This* was Ambrosia, IMHO! I begged for the whole week I was there to get the recipe from them. It wasn't until the last day when I was packing that they paid me a visit with a small piece of paper in their hand.....:D
Before you ask, my apologies, but you may not have the recipe. They made me promise (under penalty of death...heh) that I'd never share it with anyone else. Sorry. :(

I don't want the recipe. I want the mead. :)

Mythica_God: Welcome to our site! Would you like the ceremonial MHQ Viking "bash" for your welcome? :)
Loki: What Xyzzyx said. If you can't give us the recipe, pass the mead please :)

Hmmm....well I have a batch that's aging right now and my current stock is down to a "few" bottles......which might just make it to GenCon....maybe, no guarantees. I don't drink it all the time, obviously, but I do usually end up finishing a batch long before the next ones due to come out. Guess I'll have to hide the rest so I don't finish it before GenCon...heh

Can't suck up to everyone, but hey you do have god in your name. Welcome and feel free to spill some beans. We collect them and promise we won't share them with anyone else.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? :)
DOH!! The ultimate plead! That ear and mind numbing "pleeeeasssseee"!
*shakes head attempting to shake off the siren song*
It's no use....I succomb! (This time...in the future, you'll find me not so easily bewitched, especially in the game as I'll be doing the "witching" then...*seg*)
Anyone desiring the aforementioned "Ambrosia", please PM me and I'll cut 'n paste it via PM backatcha as soon as I get in the comp. (It still resides on a somewhat tattered piece of paper. Planned on rewriting someday anyway...this is as good as any!)
