Marc updates his blog (http://www.nwdragon.com/blogger.html) with info on todays rampage through the GDC.Other topics included a long discussion on the community. Since I know this is close to those who read this, I won’t go too in depth, as some of the comments were very tongue in cheek, but the actual take away’s were great, such as the power of a really strong community, the brand loyalty it generates and the fact that your user base has more time and energy to really be excited and proactive than any design team could possibly be able to reproduce.
I went in expecting a conversation like this, and came away very satisfied. It was GREAT. It also posed, internally, the question of how to do this kind of content in an MMOG, which I’d really like to pursue. I think, industry wide, there is a huge potential for this kind of concept, it just needs to be handled very well.Some good stuff (http://www.nwdragon.com/blogger.html).
