Gamespy has a new E3 video (http://media.pc.gamespy.com/media/848/848448/vids_1.html). This is a longer version (9 minutes) of the inspiration trailer, with some really cool new visuals.

IGN has a new E3 preview (http://pc.ign.com/articles/804/804430p1.html).

Here's another from The Escapist (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/1271-E3-2007-Sony-Online-Entertainment-s-Abbreviated-Lineup-Stargate-).Whoa, nelly. I know it's the first day, but The Agency may just be the coolest thing since Sean Connery. Imagine, if you will, a primarily instance-based MMOG where you're able to play a freakin' spy. A tuxedo-wearing, gadget-slinging, fast-car-driving international man of mystery. I spoke to Cory Dangel, the Art Director on the project, and he told me the team is planning to "rip off every filmmaking device possible" to make The Agency look and feel like a spy movie. And based on their gameplay demo, they've come through in spades.

At FileFront (http://news.filefront.com/e3-2007-on-assignment-with-the-agency/)One major difference between The Agency and other MMOs is the complete lack of a traditional class system. In its place, SOE is using a system that they have dubbed, “You are what you wear.” How does that work? It’s actually fairly simple. Based on what equipment you have equipped, you could be a combat, support, or stealth specialist. Regardless of this their equipment, players will improve their skills based on how often they use them.

At AMN they have a audio interview (http://ps3.advancedmn.com/article.php?artid=5068) with Corey Dangel.Although the game isn't scheduled to release until 2008, Dangel re-iterated that SOE's FPS MMO will eventually become one of the most innovative titles within the next-gen game console world.

Here's one at Infuze that talks about Agency Moments (http://www.infuzemag.com/infuze_live/e3_2007/e3:_the_agency_impressions/).Cinematics and transitions are unlockable during fights, when a spinning "The Agency" logo is visible in the field of engagement. In the example I saw, two Unite agents were having a shoot-out with some bad guys in a small neighborhood area in Prague. The spinning logo came up during the battle, and the spot where the logo was spinning turned out to be a merry-go-round. The players advanced to this location and the two agents on screen stood back-toback, spinning on the merry-go-round, and taking down every baddie in sight.

At WarCry we uncover some cool nuggets (http://www.warcry.com/news/view/74949-E3-2007-The-Agency).E3's demonstration of The Agency was not altogether different from what we saw at SOE Gamer Day and SOE Seattle's Corey Dangel, an Art Director on the game, admitted that was intentional. They showed the same videos and gameplay, but unlike Gamer Day, E3 afforded (oh how the world has turned on its head) more of a chance to actually sit down and talk to them about their game.

RPG Vault has a paragraph for The Agency from their E3 wrap (http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/805/805102p2.html).
Sony introduced this game at another fairly recent media event, so during my admittedly quick glance, I didn't see anything surprising. The title is certainly intriguing since it has the potential to be different, both thematically and in some of the gameplay systems and mechanics. It's still too early to expect much detail to be revealed, but it will be very interesting to learn how the team is actually fleshing out the concept.

MMORPG posted (http://mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm?gameId=292&setView=features&loadFeature=1355&bhcp=1) an E3 preview.Set in the high-brow spy-thriller world, players will be visiting places like old Amsterdam with their "evening establishments," negotiating with or neutralizing the Tongs of exotic old Shanghai, participating in high-speed boat chases in the canals of Venice, playing some roulette in Monte Carlo - all the exotic, sophisticated places that you've ever dreamt of visiting, all with their seedier, more dangerous elements.

MOGD had this (http://www.mpogd.com/news/?ID=2849) to say.The story itself will allow players to immerse themselves in the world of spies, akin to the James Bond movies. It's set in the modern world, one players will hopefully be pretty familiar with. One thing that was made clear to us during the presentation is that they aren't taking themselves all that seriously. There will be a lot of cute moments in the game and some that pay homage to video game history and more. The game will be somewhat campy, although there's nothing campy about the gameplay.

Shacknews says this (http://www.mpogd.com/news/?ID=2849).Unlike earlier reports to the contrary, it appears that The Agency is actually a fully-featured first and third-person shooter contained within an sprawling international MMO. Disguises and combat suits will affect players more than statistic points, and operatives will automatically build gadgets and cars for players, rather than forcing a laborious crafting system. Health bars and headshots are the name of the PVE game, with Counter-Strike styled PVP in the works.

Now that I have more time to reply. What I loved in the inspirations video was that they talked about costumes and disguises. Clearly the understand my need to play dress up... ummm I mean to have customization and an investment in my character.

I am very excited about the game. I really want to learn more about how the different player roles are treated within each faction.
