Gametrailers has 3 new trailers where Gadget Guru Extraordinaire Hal Milton shows off the latest walkthrough of the game. Finally something new, it shows character building, outfitting in HQ, and an actual 3 person mission.
Check it out here (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/4932.html). Then get back over here and discuss.
Agent 00G out!

Interesting stuff. Some neat tidbits.
Mini games will include actual arcade games, ie. Q-Bert. Playing them will be integrated into the gameplay.
Hal is way cool as always.
You'll be able to set check points so if you die, you come back within the mission.
You'll be able to use your operatives during the mission, they show having an operative distract some guards to give them an advantage.
They allow skills to have over the top type moves, an example is breaching the door, which has the agent kick a door down and storm through it.
You'll be able to follow people using icons to show if they are aware of you. If they see you and you're in an "alias" suit then it will start to wear away the alias suit based upon your alias suits level. If you are not in alias then they'll react immediately.
Enemies will work together and even create cover for them selves. Much better than the standard MMO run at you until they melee or die.
Your operatives will gain experience and level up. So you'll want to use them as often as possible.
I'm sure there's more, but I'm on the road so couldn't take it all in. Awesome stuff. This is the video that I was shown last week in Seattle.

Some nice footage ... the way the Bronze to Gold system works I can see it as being used as an inbuilt challenge by some ... get gold solo.
While the demo only mentions PS3, the Station still lists it as also being a PC title. I'm assuming this is still the case? And if so, how is the UI going to differ from the 'AI does the contextual thinking for you' PS3 interactions?

That's a great question. I know that they are still planning PC, but not sure if the UI will be different.

I keeeed. I keeeeed.
But, seriously.
In any case, it's looking better and better the more I get to see it.

I love it! The object interaction reminds me of the object interaction from Republic Commando, it was implemented the same way on the xbox as it was on the pc, so they could still do object interaction the same for the PC and PS3.
The bronze, silver, gold is fantastic, finally someone gets it that content is not a reward in and of itself.
I love that you are rewarded for using your operatives during missions rather than just running and gunning, this I'm sure it was makes the missions repeatable and interesting.
Oh and the bar at the Unite field office!

I love that they've implemented flash for the mini games, makes it easy to add in mini games. It will be interesting to see what kind of other mini games they'll have. A big question on mini games will we be able to compete with the other faction?
Also, the SOE Seattle team and Smed had the big ping pong showdown with their challenge (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/02/16), and Smed's response (http://stationblog.wordpress.com/2007/02/16/to-penny-arcade/). So maybe we'll see a ping pong table.
I'll need to pull out the drinking game that BigJonno and I had come up for Mythica and see if we can convert it to be spy based. :)

Now I can get behind a drinking mini-game ;-)
I like that the mini games have an impact on your character, so it is not only a time sink for when you have down time, but there is some sort of purpose for it. Very nice.

On g4tv today they said that it was PS3 exclusive and not going to PC...I know we talked about it earlier on PS3 too...

They're wrong about the exclusive, all that's changed is that it looks like PS3 and PC will have different servers and not be able to play together. They had talked that they might be able to play together, but decided that keeping both platforms at the same update level would be too much effort.

They might be calling it an exclusive since it will only be for the PS3 and no other console. G4 has always mostly catered to the console crowd, I always felt PC titles (WoW aside) were an after thought to them.

Ten Ton Hammer has another video walkthrough (http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/18205), the same footage, but it's Matt, Agent of Death, instead of Hal.
