In the part one of our interview (http://theagency.massivehq.com/special-features/qa1_part1#Alias) with Hal Milton he discusses accessories and credentials.Accessories are things you add to that alias that increase the alias rating, which I’ll get back to in a minute. Say you need to get in a nightclub to get close to some Bones members. You collect a club kid outfit, which is good for the nightclub, and you then might find an actual Bones necklace or belt that will accessorize the outfit. If you equip that you’ll get a bonus to your overall alias rating. You alias rating represents the effectiveness of the alias. This comes into play a little later.

Credentials are the keys and consumables that you’ll be able to use to get into the secret party, past the guards at the bank or museum, etc. It’s all the kind of lying elements that you have. Of course I’m an FBI agent! JonnyG’s the name, here’s my ID. {Ed: name replaced to protect the guilty}

This stuff is awesome. No kill 10 rats in order to get into the bar here, instead we need to get an appropriate outfit and even credentials. Much cooler.

I wonder about the difference between Paragon and UNITE accessories? Do the different missions have different types of accessories per faction? Can you trade with other factions? Auction house?

Well we dont know about how gaining the accessories will work. So it might be that killing other operatives can drop some sort of jacket or ring that will give you access to different areas or zones. (Dont take away my grind :))

I am excited to see what types of accessories they come out with. I hope I can get like a Breitling watch to show my wealth when I am driving a ferrari through the streets of Spain. And like dog tags for when I am covert military jungle style.

I hope that different accessories can give different stats, and get combinations of attributes based upon how you dress. Cmon style points!

I'm convinced that they're designing this feature around my wife. Entire gameplay systems based around dressing up? She's sold.

My kids are big into that kind of stuff too. Me, I'm all about function, matching colors be damned, if it works, I'm all over it. Hmm, now that I think about it, that's kind of my real life attitude too. :)

Esion, I don't think you and covert should be in the same area code, much less sentence.

Glad to see this place is still alive and kicking. Been a long time since I've been around. I still would rather be a god, but this looks like it has some potential.

And JonnyG, you've slowed down some, I'd expect you to be way past 10,000 posts by now.

Back to the topic. I'd like to see really cool accessories too, hopefully noticable on your avatar. I'm sure that the operatives will allow you to craft some as well as getting them from drops.

Welcome back. I haven't had as much to talk about, but with the Agency ramping up you can count on 10k soon. :)
