Alienware is a good comp but you pay a lot for the name and the aesthetics...you might just want to go custom with the same specs and you will save money. I know you can make a good comp at www.newegg.com fairly cheaply. To play this game with the good graphics that you see on the screenshots you will need a graphics card with at least 64MB if not 128MB...

I bought a new PC about 3 months ago.
P4-3000, 800 Mhz FSB, 1024 MB DDR3200 RAM, 2x80 SATA drives in a RAID 0, ATI 9800, Audigy 2, DVD Writer, 7 in one card reader, 22" Nec flatscreen monitor
I bought it from ABS-PC and was pretty happy with them. They didn't install the MS Office and a couple other software packages which pissed me off, but the computer itself rocks. And was about $1000 less than Alienware for the same components.

PS. The specs of this machine is basically what they are using for the demos of Mythica.

I am mostly going for alienware because i have heard of them. But all i am trying to do is get the best of everything at this moment. So thats my main goal.

If you are going for the best everything you are going to be paying a lot more than if you shop around. Alienware will charge you like 4k for best comp, where if you buy the components it will cost like 2.5k.

Yeah comps arent too hard to put together, I made my first one when i was a junior in highschool, and then another my sophmore year of college...just make sure you always ground yourself before touching anything...dont want to fry it before you put it all together...
MythicaHQ says...try www.crucial.com for better RAM prices...o_O

Although hearing their thoughts on what a computer should be to play Mythica would be nice. But they don't have specs yet. I do believe that either Mark or glitch mentioned something on it either here or at Realms.

In one of their Q&As they mentione the specs of their E3 machine... I'm don't quite remember exactly the details, but I thought it was a P4 3.0GHz w/1GB RAM and the latest ATI card in it...

Yep, pretty much matches my machine. Now I just need to get Mythica on it.

Yeah they said they were running top of the line equipment, but the minimum requirement would be way lower than what they were using...
