this means everyone because most of the people here are beta testers and will eventually beta test this game. Though this game is so complex, you'd get more errors then the ones you test out for Atari. By the way, when did everyone here first do a beta test?
My first one is today.

I did my first beta test when I was 19, It was DAOC. Caught the last beta of it...I have done quite a few since then.

Believe it was the Sierra Imagination Network version 2.3 & 2.4 around 1992 just before the internet started taking off. Since then I've been involved in a couple dozen.

I welcome the bugs. That is what I want to help fix. All games will have bugs upon release, that is just the way it works. However, I know SWG was really pressured to release, but it has been way too buggy. I know it is a very complex game, and that is fine, but it could have used a bit more testing.

AC1 was my first beta...and then I got involved in everything else...

Never done a closed beta in my life. I've applied for a few over the past couple of years, but was never lucky enough to be accepted. I was involved in the open beta for AC2 for a couple of days before I gave up on it. Not being able to play it for more than five minutes at a time without it crashing seemed like a pretty big bug to me. I'm glad they sorted that one out.

You mean sorted it out by removing all content. Or by making it not fun to play.

;)

Actually I've heard that its not so bad now.

I really liked AC2...unfortunatelly, they fixed it a little bit too late and I started playing other games. I also didn't like people's whining all the time about something...

I have to admit, when I bought AC2 earlier this year, it did give me one of my best MMORPG experiences. I was doing one of the vaults with one of my vassals and some random guy. After completely walking the vault, we got to the boss, who absolutely pastes us. However, we found a little corner where we could hide from him, heal up and try again. We spent the best part of an hour trying this boss again and again. Eventually we beat it by loading down my character (a Lugian Berserker) with all the best equipment and letting rip while the other two guys buffed and healed me like mad. It was an absolutely fantastic feeling finally beating the boss.

I'm not sure if it was DAoC or AO. I love the beta test period of games and have participated in tests for about 10 games.

I don't think Mythica will be buggier than other games. Yes, it will be more complex, but if they don't rush with the release everything will be fine.

My first Beta was probably the original Diablo or, if this counts, the Ultima Online pre-alpha (which was less buggy than many betas I've tested since... Anarchy Online and Asheron's Call 2 come to mind). I *think* Diablo was first, but my memory is a little spotty. ; )
