Anyone know any cool mmorpgs out where I could play and solo and advance at a decent pace but never have to see another person? :)

Why would you want to pay a monthly fee to play an online game and not see anyone? If you dont want to worry about seeing other people just play Morrowind, Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate and such. They are single player where you can gain levels and equipment and have fun, but never see another person, unless you play Diablo online. Personally i loved Morrowind, I thought it was great, but it has no online capabilities. This way you save money too.

Well because I like to talk to people. And most single player games seem to screw up if I task switch alot to chat with people. So I basically pay the monthly fee to talk to other people even though I try to never group. :)

Gotcha...well then pick up an older game like EQ. There are some servers that tend to have low populations that you might be able to solo with no problems. I love EQ, it's fun, you have to get over the sub-par graphics, but overall it is a good game (hence it has the highest subscription rate of all other mmorpgs).

Personally I think you are crazy to want to solo, because i love making groups and going on adventures. But to each their own. The thing about EQ is that once you hit a certain lvl (around 20) you will have to group, the mobs are just too hard to kill by yourself, unless you want to take 10 minutes to kill and 20 minutes to regen. I do love eq though, I hope you do too.

Hehe.. Well the reason I dont like to group is I mutlitask alot.. and im rarely just playing the game.. I might be chatting with a bunch of people and I get to play at my own rate.. Im playing AO right now while im writing these posts. :)

Well then you might like EQ, because you will need to use a lot of time to kill an enemy and a lot of time sitting (and btw its simple point and click killing, no styles maybe some special moves like backstab and such for your class, some spells and alike). So I guess it will be good for ya.

Which classes are good for soloing in EQ curiously?
Edit:I used to play muds a great deal, played the same one for like 5 years.. but im tired of it and cant find any other good ones so thats mostly where my task switching addict comes from. The mud I played on you could attack and task switch for 10 minutes while you killed the mob. :)

Unless they have nerfed them bigtime since I last played, necromancers. They get a skeleton pet from the word go.

I dont know they are all fun...enchanters have pets so you can tank the enemy and nuke too, rogues have backstab and stealth, warriors can take the hits, rangers are fun to play cuz you can stalk and find your enemies, shadowknights are okay, druids get good money for ports and buffs (but you would have to get to like 40 before you start making money and I am not sure how easy they are to solo).
I really cant say what is the best, I havent played for 5 years now...so it could be different now.
edit: okay just talked with my friend who still plays and he says best soloing classes are wizards and druids because they can quad kite (whatever that is, i know kiting, but i dont know about quad kiting). So there ya go from an insider's view...

Soloing in SWG is pretty good too. If you like that kinda game. Most people I know soloed their way to the top with their toon.

Actually SWG was about the most boring game I ever played hehe.. I wanted to be a commando too and they where messed up so I got upset and quit.

Fair enough. :) I play it a little bit to pass time, but I'm not impressed. However, I heard they did fix comandos and I heard they are good now. Not that it matters to you now. :)

Nodnod.. I didnt like the armour in that game either.. I like big bulky heavy armour that looks cool.. not what they had..

The best armour in SWG is blue and white padded armour, because it makes you look like a Galaxy Ranger! (Anyone else remember those?)

if your playing AO, and you like big armour and weapons, be an enforcer, and get tank armour, and you can even use a big *** support beam as a weapon.

Nah.. Im currently playing a soldier in AO.. Got a big plasma rifle that looks like a sex toy hehe.. My character is really twiggy though.. I dont know why all the females in AO look like stick figures.. I'd like to have a nice muscular soldier but eh. :)
